My Priorities
I believe the most important responsibility of the Lake County Council is to advocate for the needs and interests of all residents. To achieve this role, I will serve as a transparent voice for the people to communicate with our town administrators and make sure residents have a voice at the bargaining table before decisions are made. It is equally crucial to comprehend the most effective way to assist a growing community by staying up-to-date with the times and in harmony with the residents. Naturally, all these efforts must be financially backed through responsible decision-making, identifying methods to generate resources, and capitalizing on state-provided programs and grants.
County Growth
Lake Country continues to evolve and grow which creates opportunity. As our community continues to grow, we must ensure:
-
Infrastructure keeps pace
-
Public safety remains strong
-
Neighborhood character is protected
-
Residents have a voice in development decisions
But growth should benefit the people who already live here not corporate interests. I will ensure that investments create:
-
Strong neighborhoods
-
Safe communities
-
Quality public services
-
Economic opportunity
-
Long-term value for residents
The measure of success isn't how many projects get approved. The measure of success is whether residents see a better quality of life.
Taxpayer Dollars
A Country Council member's most important responsibility is financial oversight. They decide how your tax dollars are invested in our community.
My approach is simple:
-
Spend wisely
-
Prioritize residents
-
Demand accountability
-
Focus on value, not politics
Every budget decision should answer one question, how does this improve the lives of people who live here? Not political insiders, not special interests, not large corporations looking for incentives.
County dollars should benefit first and foremost our residents. If taxpayer money is being spent, taxpayers deserve to see the benefit.
Budget
I believe in budgets that encompass:
-
Responsible spending
-
Fiscal accountability
-
Transparent decision-making
-
Measuring results
-
Eliminating waste when possible
Residents deserve to know the basic facts around Lake County budgets. Information should be provided about:
-
How decisions are made
-
Where money is spent
-
Why projects are approved
-
What priorities are driving the budget
Government works best when residents feel informed and included. Families have to live within a budget, small businesses have to live within a budget, well I believe county government should too. Taxpayers deserve to feel confident that their money is being spent wisely.
